Eating Disorder Services
Oliver is a credentialled eating disorder psychologist with ANZAED who works in supporting people experiencing disordered eating and eating disorders. Oliver is a psychologist dedicated to supporting individuals of all backgrounds who are experiencing disordered eating, eating disorders, and body image concerns. His practice is grounded in compassion, evidence-based treatment, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. He understands that eating concerns often develop as complex responses to stress, trauma, emotional distress, identity struggles, or attempts to regain control, and he works collaboratively with clients to create meaningful and sustainable change.
Using approaches such as Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), trauma-informed frameworks, and values-based interventions, Oliver helps clients rebuild a healthier and more flexible relationship with food, movement, and their bodies. He supports people navigating restricting, bingeing, purging, compulsive exercise, or chronic dieting cycles, as well as those living with the emotional impacts of shame, anxiety, or perfectionism. His therapeutic style is warm, validating, and practical, creating a space where individuals feel safe to explore their challenges without judgement.
Oliver also recognises that disordered eating rarely exists in isolation. He provides support across related concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma histories, identity challenges, and life transitions. He collaborates with medical providers, dietitians, and other allied health professionals to ensure clients receive holistic and coordinated care. Throughout treatment, he emphasises dignity, empowerment, and the development of skills that enhance resilience and wellbeing.
While Oliver works with people from all walks of life, he has a particular passion for supporting athletes and exercisers. This special interest stems from his understanding of how performance pressures, training identities, and sporting environments can heighten vulnerability to disordered eating. Oliver has extensive experience with individuals navigating low energy availability, sport-related body image concerns, perfectionistic training patterns, and the psychological impacts of injury or competition demands. His unique expertise allows him to integrate mental health treatment with performance-informed care, ensuring athletes can restore both wellbeing and a sustainable relationship with their sport.
Beyond individual therapy, Oliver advocates for healthier sporting environments by educating teams and organisations about prevention, REDs awareness, body-respectful coaching practices, and the importance of psychological safety in performance settings.

Medicare Rebate
Medicare offers rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. In order to obtain Medicare rebates you need to first visit your General Practitioner (GP) and explain your mental health concerns and obtain a referral. It is necessary to book a longer consultation with your GP so that they have adequate time to develop a care plan with you. Your GP will complete a ‘Mental Health Treatment Plan’ with you and also provide you with a letter of referral. You must bring these documents to your first session in order to access your Medicare rebate of $98.95.
